The Truth

Well Pat and I actually headed out of London together with Pats Mate Trav helping us with all of our luggage out to Heathrow. Pat and I flew to KL together and then Pat left me there, staying in KL fr two nights before flying to Thailand where he stayed for two weeks, catching up with his mum for one of those weeks.

We kept it all a secre as Pat wanted to surpise people when he came home. We are now both home now and after staying with me at my mums place for a few nights, Pat has now moved in with his brother down the south side of town, about a 40 minute drive from where I am.

He starts work again tommorrow. Thats it folks. The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Home again, Home again jiggity jig

Well thats right folks im home in Adelaide. Im am very sneaky and left it a secret as to surprise my dad. The trek out to Heathrow was a nightmare. Was staying out at Holborn for my last night with Pat and we thought it would be easy to get there as Holborn is right on the Piccadilly line so no change-overs would have to occur.

Unfortunately someone on the train ahead of us had a heart attack (poor planning by them) and so I had to get off and get the Victoria Line to Green Park and then take the District line to Acton Town before getting on the Piccadilly line again. Unfortunately we got on the Piccadilly line but it terminated at Northfields....still quite a few stops from Heathrow. The next two trains were packed so we though bugger it as I was already half an hour late and we caught a mini-cab costing us 16 pounds and getting us there 35 minutes later...over an hour late. Luckily after a lot of confusion with hand luggage I finially got through the departure gate. After a non-eventful flight where I just slept I got to KL in no time, spent four hours waiting and then hopped on another plane to come back to Adelaide. Arriving at 6.10am this morning (Thursday). I got through customs ok but gee they are being tough. I got stopped 4 times and asked a series of questions!!! But I guess I do have a striking resemlance to Osama Bin Laden so thats cool.

Its very Sereal being here at the moment as its weird to think like 24 hours ago I was in London and now I am on the other side of the world in my mums dining room. Strange. I got very used to being in London and walking everywhere or catching the tube or bus. Everything here is so much more spaced out though...the air is cleaner though which is nice!

Pat is still away but assures me that he will be home before Christmas.

Well I think thats it...the final blog,...until next time anyways :)
Canada? The States? South America? These are all coming up folks so stayed tuned for the next exciting adventures of Amber and Pat!!!

Our little Chav

Well this posting is going to be brief considering no-one seems to be interested anymore :). On Sunday we took Ann-Marie and Skye out for lunch at Bierdrome for a nice steak which was good. We then headed to The Clapham North and were there from 5pm-1.30am which was good though Pat and i were surprisingly sober at the end of it all. Lots of people we new were there including lots of Pat's footy mates. Was a good night especially when Erin mooned Pat for something he said to her right there in the middle of the packed pub. Skye also had a good time I think, managing to get a couple of my girlfriends numbers who told her to call them so they can show her around and in case she ever gets stuck and whatnot.

After we left the pub we came home to find some strnage guy sleeping on couch who Erin had invited in. This is a funny story but one that needs to be told. lets just say the poor lad had been partying since Thurday at the SW4 and been sleeping under the Sicamore tree across from our flat for five hours and he was cold and it was starting to rain. He asked Erin if he could sleep in our hallway she said he would have to asked Dave (her boyfriend)...Dave was so paro that he was like "sure". Next thing we know Simon from Gilford (a place way out of London) was sleeping on our lounge with a curtain as a blanket over him. Was funny as, he was our chav. You had to be there to find the homour though but Pat and I laughed for a good 4 hours. He was a nice little english fellow with this high pitched voice and a little round face.

Last night we stayed at the Grange Holborn for something nice and we sent Skye home on the tube from Holborn station (we had tested her first getting her to get us from Clapham North to Holborn...she did well our little grasshopper). She managed to get home ok and rang me to say that her housemates where there and everything was a little better in her house.

Okay thats all folks that actually read this.

The Weekend that is.

Okay well Friday I took Skye around the major places of London like Oxford Street, Selfridges where I showed her the £7000 watches, Picadilly Circus, Leicester Square, SoHo and Covent Garden. Was a good walk, I do like walking through central London. Pat spent the day with Ann-Marie at a pool hall in Clapham Junction. Skye and I met up with them later at Bar Local on Clapham High Street for a drink. After this we headed to SW4 (minus Ann-Marie who had now left us) for a cheap feed which was nice. Later that night Skye went to bed as she was buggered from Jetlag and Pat and I went down to Fulham Broadway to Visit Candice and Daniel at there place. Was meant to be a few quiet drinks but ended up being an interesting night when there South African, French and other Aussie housemates came home. We didnt get home till 6.15am after not being able to get a minicab and having to fork out for a black cab.

Yesterday (Saturday) Pat, Skye and I walked along the Thames which was really nice as there wasnt any wind. We went to the Borough Markets for a short while and then headed toward Tower Bridge which is very impressive to see. We walked past Tower Hill (teh old castle) and then saw the Monument which stands like 200 feet tall and commemorates the great fire of London in 1666. You can walk up it for £2 but there are 311 steps and so we opted out of that even though the view would have been great. Last stop was the London Eye, we didnt go on it as its too expensive ahe the line so long but yea. We just headed to Sainsburys at Clapham after this and then home and had a roast chook and vegies for dinner.

Today we are headed out for lunch at Bierdrome on Clapham High Street for a steak with Ann-Marie and then are having drinks with people at the Clapham North. Should be good.

Operation Rescue Skye!

So last night I get a call from Skye about 7.30pm to say that she had arrived at Heathrow. At 9pm she then called me from her house in Essex and said that she was all alone there as no-one else had arrived in London yet and didnt even know where exactly she was or how to get to London. Apparently the house was this big old thing and she was freaking out so I called Pat and we decided to go and get here....even though we didnt even know exactly where she was.

Pat was in Covent Garden having a few drinks with Trav and a couple other people and I was at home in Clapham North. We both headed to Liverpool Street Station where by sheer luck, we arrived at the same time. We asked the ticket counter for a ticket out to where Skye was only to find the lady wasnt very helpful and extremely rude. Thats cool though, this is London....we are used to get no customer service! She claimed that we needed to get a tube there as the Overland didnt go to 'Elm Park' and so on further investigation we found out that Skye's nearest station is actually Elm Park Tube Station which is on the 'District Line'. Pat and I couldnt believe that a tube went out that far...admittedly it was Zone 6 where she lives!!! After about 20 stops on the tube (no joke) we made it out there and looked at a bus stop map and found here street name. She is only a 5 minute walk from the station which is really good for both her and us. Not a bad location, it so suburbia where she lives though. Her house is massive with 8 bedrooms, 6 of them double rooms. We finially got to her and took her all the way back to London....about a 3 hour round trip all up. What Pat and I were really surprised with is that we got back on the Tube all the way home. You see, we were worried as the tubes usually close around midnight on a weekday but we were still on the tube at 12.45am and we got all the way back to Clapham which was AMAZING!!!!

We showed her our flat before she crashed on the Futon only to wake up to meet Dave and Erin who are like "hi! Who are you??" ha ha. Was all good though, couldnt have her sleeping out in that big old house by herself. Expecially since she didnt even know where the hell she was or where the station was or anything. Her house didnt even have glasses for her to have a drink!

So anyway, she is going to stay with us for the next few days until someone from her house arrives in London (I think the next person comes on the 27th)Today I plan on just showing her around Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Street and whatnot. Should be fun. Thus far we have walked Clapham High Street and been to Cafe Nero for a coffee as apparently the coffee in Singapore was awful.

Okay well that all. Pat is going to lunch with Ann-Marie today and will probably meet up with us later.

Everything is good and im taking Skye under my wing so dont worry dad!!!

Love to all

Our Plans

Okay so for those of you still reading this and still care Pat and I move out of our flat on Saturday or Sunday (not sure yet when the girl said we had to be out by) and will be dossing with a friend for a while. Its been great though living there, best place to live, nice area and great flatmates.

Sunday we are catching up with people for a few drinks at a pub called The Clapham North which should be good.

Thats about it. My sister Skye gets to London tommorrow but I wont see her till the following day which Im STOKED about (not the seeing her till the next day, just the seeeing her at all bit). Should be fantastic to see someone other than Pat who I recognise. ha ha.

More random meetings

Well we've all been a bit quiet on the blog lately havent we? only one comment (thanx marlene), mind u it was a good one.

Well this blog is going to be short and sweet as well. Just wanted to point out another random meeting i had the other day. Well i left work on monday and headed into bond street station to meet amber outside of selfridges (more name dropping) and bugger me if i didnt run into a friend of my bro and I walking down oxford street, good old Emma Kibble. So after a brief chat we're heading out for a few drinks on sunday arvo.

Not much else to report from this week. just been working away and relaxing by night. The guy i work with whats to "have a talk about goals for the week and stuff" and to be honest i might just have to tell him how big a tool he is. I mean the only reason im in this role is because he cant handle it all by himself which is a joke, coz its not really that big a job, just requires organisational skills, not talks about "your goals and sh!t for the week". TOOL!!!

ok well bye bye all, hope your having nice weeks.

Saturday night fever

well last night we went and saw CHICAGO which was very....musical. Lots of singing. I think Pat got a bit resless for a while but he still enjoyed it. There was quite a bit of laughs and lots of dancing and whatnot. The band was excellent. We didnt really have the best seats though we did get to see all of the stage from where we were....second row to the back. But it wasnt that bad though as the theatre was so steep that we could see everyone on stage....from a birds eye view :). Thanks god I brought my glasses!!!

After the show we just headed home which didnt take long as Leicester Sqaure is on the Northern Line which is the same tube line we are on so to get home only took 20 minutes maybe. We have the house to ourselves at the moment as Dave is in Barcelona with his girlfriend Erin. So we just watch a bit of TV before going to bed. pat wanted to get a good nights sleep so he could play a decent game of footy today...unlike the last two weeks performances!!!

So I think I might head down to the Common now to watch a bit of it before going home and doing the ironing....ah such an exciting life I lead.

love to all
